Hiking the Turrione Mount Nieddu
The Turrione trek is located on the slopes of Monte Nieddu, on the side of San Teodoro. The trail begins at the Vedetta Palemonti, a vantage point with a breathtaking view of the Tavolara - Coda Cavallo marine protected area.
You then enter a path, immersed in the Mediterranean maquis, that leads to the 'Turrione': a rock tooth on top of which a flag stands out.
The panorama dominates the entire coastline. The rocks at the base of Turrione appear deep red due to the presence of a small plant that covers them, the Borraccina.
Between the cracks of the 'tower' grow holm oaks that seem to cling to the rock in a precarious balance. The return to the base takes place along a cart track.
Suitable for everyone, including families.
